After graduating from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Tom began his career with the network division of IBM/NYNEX Business Center in Endicott, New York, as a Sales Engineer and was responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of engineering, information, and data acquisition systems. In 1992 Tom became the Sales Manager for Forster Controls in Rochester, New York, an industrial distributor of electrical automation components and integrated systems. Tom had P&L-level responsibility for the company and was essential in expanding to five offices throughout Upstate New York. In 2001 Tom moved south and joined Edison Automation, an industrial automation solutions provider in Nashville, Tennessee. As the Director of Sales and Marketing for Edison, he again had P&L-level responsibility and was instrumental in building an organization that became the platform for rapid growth with high degrees of customer satisfaction. Tom is proficient in the sales, design, and implementation of various automation products and related services. Tom covers Tennessee (less Chattanooga), Mississippi, and northern Alabama for all of the R.L. Matus product lines, and he covers these areas plus Chattanooga and northern Georgia for our motion control products.
